SpaceBio
View project ↗A search platform for the scientific literature on space exploration: more than 383,000 indexed articles, real-time launch tracking and live video coverage.
Built in partnership with NASA GeneLab for a researcher at the University of Florida.
From zero to live
Front end, back end
and database.
A project built over 1 year, from 2024 to 2025, at the request of a researcher at the University of Florida.
What I did: the database architecture, the Django back end, the TailwindCSS front end, and the integration with a public REST API (launches, live video, scientific literature). The system pulls data from the endpoint every few minutes and saves it to the database automatically, with no manual work, and it is still updating today.
